A modern plant is a dense argument between speed and repeatability. Every line, cell and transfer vehicle generates a stream of cycles, faults and recoveries, and almost all of it is discarded at the end of the shift, or exported to a supplier's cloud where it trains someone else's product.
The equipment is often decades apart in age. A line commissioned fifteen years ago sits beside a cell installed last quarter, and nothing joins them except the people walking between them. Intelligence bought as a service tends to reach the newest machine and stop there.

We fit the applied hardware layer to the machines the plant already owns: sensing and on-machine compute that run Atom's Electron model at the edge, so a cell can perceive and adapt without a round trip to anyone's cloud. Machine OS gives the whole floor one runtime and one update schedule, from the oldest line to the newest.
Foundation resolves the plant's process data into a single governed record: which part, which line, which shift, which fault. Crowther Cloud provisions and serves the models in-country, and access to every machine is deny by default, granted and revoked by the plant, never by us.

What does it mean to make a factory machine intelligent?
It means giving the machine the ability to perceive its situation, adapt its behaviour within set limits and report honestly on what it did. Intelligence is added in software, under rules the plant defines.
Does machine intelligence replace factory workers?
It changes work more than it removes it. Machines take on the repetitive and hazardous parts, and people move into supervision, exception handling and improvement, the roles that decide whether a plant actually gets better.
Can intelligence be added to existing production equipment?
Often, yes. Retrofit is a software and sensing question before it is a hardware question, and it is usually the fastest route to value in an existing plant.
